Hi all. I recently purchased a 1987 300SE with some ghastly looking 16" chrome wheels that just had to go. I wanted to replaced them with 15" 8-hole stock wheels from my '95 W124 (6.5J) only to realise that they wouldn't fit without spacers. They were stuck on the brake calipers. However, with the spacers, the wheel wobble is ridiculous. They look very good but the ride is terrible, especially at cruising speed.
I really like the look of the rims and don't want to change them. Please help. Thanks.

There are different kinds of spacers. The ones called 'hubcentric' bolt properly to the wheel and in theory should eliminate your wobble, because as the name suggests they are centred properly to the hub. Folks on here use 'H&R' stuff which sounds good.

Thanks Ian. Can I get these manufactured? What I have now are just plain-Jane steel spacers. Also, what spacer width would work best?
