Going to be having my neighbor change my brake pads. I know this sounds pretty basic but i just want to make sure there is nothing special about doing this for him because i have a "Mercedes" . I always see him workiing on other types of cars and he says they are all the same but i just want to make sure. Any pitfalls to watch out for etc....

If he's familiar, these pads are as simple as it gets! Pull wheel, pry in the pads to get clearance from rotor retracting both pistons on each caliper, using a small drift punch and hammer, push the pad anchor pins in and remove them. Pull out old pads, Drop in the new pads. Some calipers use a little circlip on the pins, some do not. Drop in the new pads with pad grease on the backs. Install the anti rattle clips above the pads and slide in the anchor pins. Make sure there's fluid room in the master cylinder to take the fluid when you push back the caliper pistons. There are two wear sensors on each front caliper pad that must be either swapped onto the new pads or new ones installed. No wear sensors on the rear.
