New to the forum and haven't seen any threads on removing the radiator. i have the hoses and lines off as well as the top side clips and drained the radiator. is there a secret to lifting the radiator out or have i missed some other fastener because i can't get it to budge.
Any help is much appreciated

There are long thick rubber pads on each side which corrode in or just stick over time. Pray with a lube like PB Blast or similar and gently pry side to side.
Last resort is to use a board underneath and a floor jack to put slight pressure on it.

Edit: That should read Spray but pray also fits.:)

I wouldn't replace it with a cheaply made substitute, have it repaired instead. I had mine cleaned and repaired and the shop thought it was a great radiator. I punched a hole in mine inadvertently but it turned out to be 50% plugged up anyway…..

There isn't anyone close by doing radiator repairs anymore at least in my area. Sorry for not getting back to you on the replacement that I bought.
It's a Magnetti Marelli that bought from Parts Geek and it was about $550. Don't remember the exact price off the top of my bald head.
Going to try and get the old one out today and hope I can re-use the rubber spacers. I haven't seen any new ones on-line.
If anyone else has, I'd appreciate the info.

Well, that's good and certainly doesn't fall into the cheap replacement category.
The only visible difference is the Mercedes emblem on the top.
And thanks to Rowdie I ordered the radiator mounts for $17 from PartsGeek.

Does the 380 have plastic or metal tanks?

I had my metal tank rad re-cored for $305.

And because of advancements...... more rows = more fins = more efficient.

The only time that engine ever got close to 95-100C was in 100F temps going uphill in the Rockies.

380 is the same material. They didn't screw up with the plastic till '86 model year.
