does a 1979 300d use the same flex pipe as a 1985 300d?

is there a way i can look this up myself so i don't have to post a question?

thanks, yall! too bad, as that part is $122 on az. oh well, maybe i can tack the holes myself.

thanks, htown. joined the epc! now i just gotta figure out how to use it :)

Yes. Get yourself a subscription to the EPC. You'll be able to tell whether the parts are the same or not.

On top of this, there's this site, which allows you to view Euro models as well. Just a bit trickier to navigate.

If the link doesn't load, go to ????????-??????? ????????????? DETALI.RU - ???????? ??? ????? ????????. and click on the Mercedes-Benz link on the LEFT margin. It will pop up a window with the address of the link posted above.

The Russian EPC has its own limitations too. Feel free to look up either one.

'85 Turbo CA versions probably had a flex pipe that's higher.
