Does anyone know the length of the correct transmission dipstick for the 722.636?
I bought one on amazon that said it was for all 722.6 trans, however it's way too long. (1220mm)
Wis lists p/n 140-589-152-100 as the correct stick.

Sorry, I don't know the length, but checking WIS, it seems that all the 722.6xx transmissions use that same part number for the dipstick. My guess is that you insert it all the way to the bottom of the pan - it;s not meant to be left in place, so it won't "cap off" the filler tube like a traditional dipstick. The excess length is probably to accommodate different filler tube lengths. Remember, these transmissions are used on many vehicles, including vans and light trucks.

Yes its 6.5 cm If you make one out of curtain wire it should be 7cm as the official dip stick has the stop so that it does not bottom
