Holy cow, John. Obviously "check", "inspect", and "adjust" are a bit more involved process for a man with your eye, talent, and experience.

I try to be thorough, but ignorance is a great time-saver, it would seem.

Good road,

I used to do this on a daily bases at the dealer 22 years ago. Took about 4 hours for the whole job. It's a combination of age lack of work area and lack of equipment.

OK

I finally finished it and completed all the paper work. True cost of this job ended up being $540.00 with the only non service related parts being a rear view mirror and 2 shifter bushings. I replaced all parts shown in the 60K service below and optional belts and filters. Most of these parts were genuine MB and came from Parts.com, plugs, filters and belts were OE manufacturer and came from AutohauzeAz.com, O2 sensor was OE Bosch and came from Europartsdirect.com. Mobil 1 oil and Castrol ATF came from local parts store. All this stuff from MB dealer would have cost over $1000.00.

Now done with that. Done servicing all other cars for the winter or until next catastrophe. The lift is clear, back to Samson.

Niiiiice,

where did you get the info from? I mean, do you have a book or sthg you can post that says: at X miles check A-B-C, at Y miles check... etc.

I wish I had that!

Thanks in advance.
It's all in the 107 CD but I added the part numbers.

Ready for anything???

The 60K service does not include replacement of all under hood fuel lines, R&R and reseal of steering box and flex coupling or replacement of all cooling system hoses and leaking radiator. It merely includes pointing those facts out to the poor bastard customer, ME:D

Those are the last of the mechanical items, in need of service on Delilah to bring it to 100% mechanical condition. I do hope to get to these within the next year. Two of three fuel lines are already on order. My main concern after the fuel lines is the cooling system hoses. They have not been replaced as long as I have owned the car 6 years, and I have no prior service history.
