Can someone with a 560SL (or 380SL if it has the same clamp) post a picture of the clamp that's attached to the power steering high pressure line? I replaced the line as I had the PS box rebuilt (by C&M ... thank you all for the recommendation) but I neglected to note the clamp's orientation, which line bend it's on and which of the three chassis holes near each other the self-tapper goes in. I neglected to photograph that detail beforehand like I usual do ... yeah, I know I should have. If it's not aligned correctly, it won't make my day when I go to put the PS box back in. Here's a picture of how I believe it's setup but the fitting doesn't seem to line where it should attach to the gearbox.

Thanks!

Stock it has this clamp in place, maybe your high pressure line was replaced without moving the OEM clamp over. I'd like to retain it as it keeps the line away from the exhaust manifold so if someone has a picture of how it's oriented I'd appreciate it.

Looks like you have it in the correct position and orientation. As far as I know I only had one hole in the area.
Thank you! That clamp screw is very difficult to reach from above and if the screw turned out to insert in one of the two (hidden below... I didn't know they were there either until I removed the gearbox) holes just below, it would have been impossible to attach with the PS gearbox in place. I also replaced the idler arm bushing, track bar, tie rod ends, shocks, subframe mounts and lower ball joints. She now tracks without wander and steers like new.

If you think its tight with a V8, You should try it with a V12. I poked around until I found any hole the screw would go into. I guess I got one of the three.
