Does anyone have a fix short of replacement for 1987 560 SL droopy visors?

How about air conditioning on the same car that probably averages what you might want, but swings plus and minus twenty degrees to get it?

It's one of the sweetest cruisin' cars I've ever driven except for those two things.

The previous owner of my 560-SL had taken the car in repeatedly for the 'droopsy' visors. The driver side I could fix by tightening the screw. On the passenger side I am going to try a piece of thin shim stock in the socket.

Haven't tried the air conditioning yet, as the top is always down.

Stan

I took my 560sl to the dealer to fix my droopy visors, and they solved the problem in 15 minutes. It wasn't the screw on the outside that they tightened. They had to take off the molding and tighten it from underneath.
