My '86 560 idles at about 1100. I think but am not sure that it should be around 800 rpm. Anyone know and also where is the idle adjustment?<br>

The idler speed adjuster can not be adjusted, you can only run some tests to determine whether the control unit needs replacing. It is located under the cover in the passenger footwell. Attached a pic (21) showing the unit.<br>

Thanks for the reply and the picture. I looked under the panel and there is a unit there but does not look like the picture you sent. I remembered that I did not mention that this is 86<br>
560 engine installed in a 82 380 SL. It is a great car and runs well except for the idle problem. Any more suggestions?
