Well, I think, why we like them is this:
True AMG Tri-Y headers are pretty much the "holy grail" of headers for the w126 bodied V8 cars, and are as rare as unobtanium.
Despite this, a few of us have managed to get them, though in my case they were not new, and needed refurbishing; this included (inter alia) jet coating, prep work, painting and install, and other things far beyond my abilities.
However, when they get hooked up professionally, the difference in "inhaling" is dramatic, and really worth it. The hp gain is very real, and the feel is really visceral, when you nail the gas pedal hard and the car surges forward with a mighty roar that is muted by your resonator (if you kept it on the car) and the muffler.
