The coldstart valve is controlled by a thermo-time switch, the on time gets shorter with increasing temperature.

You may not have a problem unless the car idles very roughly in the beginning, if so it is most likely the thermo-time switch.

my car is not warming up for more than 5seconds after starting the engine.
Please help
Does this means that the engine is running for 5 seconds and then it dies?

If it does, this is could be because the cold start valve is working but fuel distributor is not. (or its setting is far off from combustible ratio - too lean or excessively rich mixture)

Ambient air temperature has an effect.
I suspect that all is operating correctly. My garage regularly sees 100+ degrees F (faces west). During the spring, summer and fall months the car never does really "cool down". Guessing that the engine sees that the cold start valve isn't needed and shuts it down.

Just checked an old Bosch K-jetronic manual. The on time at -20C is 8 seconds, longer than that would result in flooding.
An on time of 5 seconds at 30C ambient sounds reasonable, so unless there are other symtoms I would conclude that all is well.
