For those interested in getting into a 500E without the 500E price, look at my 93 for sale in the classified section. Its a conversion that I am selling to make room for my new old W140. Its a nice car and lots of fun to drive!

It might pique some interest to better define what 500E conversion means. Nice wheels, but what else?

Fenders would make it look more like a 500E also.

I think the front fenders and bumper are from a 500e and it seems that the rear wheel well lip is flared too.

Now, show us the 500e engine and suspension conversion.

Fenders dont look flared to me. Looks like my 400E, but white.

Yes the front fenders are very close to a 500e if not authentic. The rear wheel arch is not stock and its flared too. I also agree the boxed rocker cover is not there. A lot of expense to have a 124 that isn't a 500e. At today's prices, installing and painting all that sheet metal and bumper work is close to the cost of a real 500e.

The car was converted using 500e parts and the front, rear fenders are 500E. Look at the ad in classifieds and you'll see a few more pictures. I agree that the rockers were not 500E, not sure why PO did not do this small part (I have one for one side but never bothered to get the other side to complete the look - never bothered me too much). The PO gave me ALL the receipts for the conversion which consisted of engine, suspension, brakes. The engine and suspension alone cost over 20K when it was done. Put this car next to a 400E and it is easy to see the difference, step on the gas and you will feel the difference. It is a heck of lot of fun to drive. If you are even considering a 500E this car will be a great deal to whoever gets it . You cannot transplant a 500E engine alone into a W124 for the price I am asking for this car. I hope someone gets it that can appreciate it. I have enjoyed it thoroughly and am only selling it to reduce the number of vehicles in the driveway (wife wants it gone since I got a S600). PM me if you are interested, I'd be happy to talk to any W124 fan, these cars are great cars!
