i have the 05 230 kompressor with the sports package. 1. that means its lowered 1" right?
2.so if i get 19" rims do i still have to lower it or is there a huge gap.
3.will it rub? also what is the bolt pattern for my car.
4. will putting the rims on my car lower or raise the over all ride height.
5. is there a tire out there that will prevent road noise and the rough ride, i
6. heard if you get expensive top of the line tires it will make the ride smoother and less noisey.
so for so many questions guys but that what this forum is for right. thanks benz drivers

um, i have heard that 19" is about the highest u can go on a c230, but they recommend 18"

i have also heard that the 19's dont rub as ling as u have a light load...but i wouldnt suggest having anyone in the back seat

and yes go with some good tires

the stock michelins are ok but if ur going to go with 19's, which means skinnier rubber, u may wanna go with the most expensive tires u can afford to preserve ride comfort

i am also thinking about doing the same thing to mine, but i WILL NOT lower it, i think thats stupid, especially when u are gonna put bigger rims on it---thats just asking for trouble

so there's my 2 cents

Those are nice rims.

You do know that you can't put any larger than a 8.5'' wide wheel on the front regardless of the size right?otherwise you'll have to spacer the shit out of the front,, and yourcar will look like an escort with dubs.
These wheels look like 9" width. are they? maybe it's just that nice lip.

your bolt pattern is 5.112

bigger rims need smaller wall tires so you should not notice much height difference. It about evens out more less.

More expensive tires does not necessarily constitute a better ride.the softer the tire, the more expensive, and usually the quicker the wear, so you can't really win either way. You'll have to chooose which is more important to you.

Either way, your ride is going to be drastically diminished with 19's so I would go with a good midrange price tire. You'll be need'n some more in about 10 to 15 K miles anyway..

IMO, 19's look better,, but the rough ride, lower tire miles, and not so reasonably priced tires are not worth the look to me. I'm going with 18's because I like to drive my car too much.
