Rubbing compound like what? I used Nevr-Dull because it's what we had around and it's did the job. But I'll try whatever you think I should use if we have it.

Nothing wrong with Nevr-Dull, in fact it's supposed to add a coating to help keep the part from oxidizing again, at least not as quickly. Rubbing compound is a more aggressive polish that wouldn't require quite as much work, but it should be followed with a finer polish for more shine afterwards. Again, the Nevr-Dull adds that protective coating to keep it looking nicer, longer. Auto parts stores sell different compounds and polishes in the auto body section, from course to fine grit. course cuts thru faster, fine gives it a mirror shine.

Oh and 6.9 I just used the nevr-dull to finish the job and now both sides are mirrorish. I'm gonna post a topic showing before and after for the whole thing.
