Ok i have heard of a bunch of om617 turbo into a 240d swaps, but is their anybody who put a NA om617 into their 240D. I just found one on CL. Benzfriendz in Seattle has done a couple but id rather save money and diy it

I got a 4 sped stick shift

Ive been looking four a motor for almost 3 months! any motor! om617 om617Turbo and om616. But i couldn't find anything reasonable, so too late i already bought it

this isn'y supposed to be fast i just wanted to be able to tow my boston whaler with 170lb ft tq and be able to change lanes on the freeway

um its like physically impossible to find a 5 speed, and i have a 11 whaler, 12 sears aluminum rowboat, 17 whaler mountauk, and a 1974 40' tollycraft tricabin(good luck towing that! with anything but a semi) i want to tow the 11, and 12 footers

Go with the turbo, besides being more powerful its a better built engine.

isn't it the same motor just piston oilers a turbo and a different air filter?

mine came with a tow hitch and a trailer wiring harness. If i need to tow a real heavy load ill take dads 2002 GMC sierra Denali with quadsteer (all four wheels steer)

yup i bought a 77 300d om617 rebuilt 30k ago and a almost new IP im gonna upgrade the gp realay and plugs to the 81-85 style, and do a new valve seal, then slap it in there.

poor canon i would have adopted it and gave it a new home full of 8gb SDHC cards and plane, benz, boat, and GMC photos
