As the engine is warming up under normal load, there is a "stumble" at about 50C on the temperature gauge. By instantaneously going to about 50-75% wide-open-throttle, the engine "clears" itself and never exhibits this behavior the rest of the day. Before I begin a search of the service manual to define/fix the problem, I would like to know if others have experienced a similar problem and if fixed, how?

The car, a 1990 SEC, has an embarrassingly low mileage of less than 27K miles but has always been driven/serviced regularly.

Thanks,
