Hi,
I drive a 95 G wagon, g320.

I got a noise, like a clank in the left front axle when I turn the wheels at slow speed. I have been trying to diagnose the issue and so far I got the hub apart.
QUESTION
How do I take the half shaft off, CV joint and all after the hub is open. Just grab and pull or is there a c clip or other such retaining the half shaft.

Should the front wheels rotate freely when of the ground with the the auto trany selector in neutral

Thanks, Andrea

You almost certainly have a bad CV joint. There is a circlip holding the half axle in the CV joint. Disassembly requires a little effort. It has been discussed and described on that forum which cannot be mentioned here.
