This is a follow-up to a past thread I posted; Subject: 460 Locker Hydraulic Hose Line
Below is the link which hope will work;

Finally removed the master cylinders and taken everything apart. A thanks to Harold for the easy to follow instructions. I was very happy to find NO RUST inside the cylinders. Everything looks very clean and in good order. Took lots of images and will submit all soon to the club site once the re-install is complete.

I am glad I took everything apart as feel dirt and sand did ingress into the cylinders. Looks like sand could damage the rubber seals and cylinder walls. My question for today is; what chemical should I use to clean out the cylinders and get out the old hydraulic fluid?

Thanks!

New Brake Fluid. Anything else could damage the seals.
Rubbing alcohol

...is the standard callout for cutting brake fluid and residues. It won't damage seals.
