I have found a 1977 450 SLC with 109000 miles supposedly one owner on a shady car lot for $3000 asking. This seems ridiculous. What should I do to get the right feel for this car. It is on an elevated carriage so I was able to get a good look underneath at the pan everything seems ok. No major leaks or sign of past ones. It has been repainted[white] and has 3 or 4 nickel sized rust spots along seam above rocker panel. Dash has 2 small splits, but still has good color and rest of interior probably needs replacing cover wise. When I crank this car up what should I listen for initially? Thanks for any pointers

Listen for excessive valve train noise from the cam covers – ask about timing chain service and if there are any oil change records.
