'My 450 SLC 1978 model RIGHT hand drive model car doesnt rev beyond 3000 RPM. there is a blank stop and doesnt matter what you do it wouldnt go beyond it. I have checked the fuel pump, replaced the fuel filter. The fuel distributor is fine, The pick up of the engine and gear is fine, troubles starts once it reaches 3000 RPM. because of that its doest go beyond 110 KMPH.
Please advice what should be checked
Thank you

Does the car have a catalytic convertor? If that is plugged the engine cant rev.

Yep cat, or otherwise you might check your fuel pump relay. Does it have a rev limit printed on it? That's what controls the limit on many older Benz.
