I searched and couldn't come up with much on the subject. I was just wondering if 421 axles are comparable/similar in strenght to the 406/16 axles. I'm assuming they are the same, only narrower. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

From my observations, the 421 axles are from the same family as the 406/416 axles, just narrower. They look almost identical form the outside, so I would guess that the R&P and Portal gears are the same, just different lenght axles. It might be worth confirming the gear ratio, since most of the 421's had a top speed of somewhere around 35-40mph, so the ratio might be too low for the application.

Cheers,
Ben
