It's been a while since I've had a chance to post here, life has been hectic. A month ago I walked out of the grocery to find both headlights on the 416 smashed, trim rings, reflectors, everything. I priced new stuff, but wasn't happy with the stock lights anyway. I found some mention of using MGB headlight assemblies for a 404, and happen to have an MBG in the shop for paint so I checked the fit. Drill 3 holes and you're done! No more hard to find bulbs, or flying clips, or rusty reflectors. This wont apply to the case mogs, but all german mogs may consider this. I found the complete mgb bucket repo units for $50 each. Pics should be self explaining, drill two holes at 9 and 12 o clock, and screw them in with self drilling screws. Don't forget to refasten the ground.
