I have been searching for good info and pics of different disc brake conversions for a 406 and have not been successful. My drums work quite well but I have a line on 22'' wide flotation tire that rides a 16.1 wheel. I won't consider offsetting wheel center to clear the brake drum, I have seen pics of the Icelanders rigs appear to have just flipped the wheel centers. Somewhere, someone has used off the shelf parts. Just has it been documented. I see the need for caliper mounts. I am all ears any input appreciated.

I've never heard of anyone ever converting them, only replacing axles and all.

Might be best to try to find some SEE axles?

There were about 12 SEE axles that sold on the government auction site, but no idea who picked them up.
