Hello,
I need to know how much to expect to pay for the 40,000 mile service on a 2009 ml350.
I am thinking of purchasing a cpo 2009 ml350 with 38,000 miles and need to know what to expect a few months down the road.

It will be a biggy. I can't advise costs as I am in the UK, but it will be transmission fluid, oil change & filter, spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter and brake fluid.

I would not buy the car unless it is serviced prior to purchase, to cover all of the above.

Spark plugs at 40k miles?. The book says 80k miles or 8 years, which is pretty much the standard on modern computerized engines with fine wire plugs (i.e. iridium).

My service book (2005 ML350 UK car) states 30,000 to 45,000 miles or 4 years for spark plug replacement.

Service 12
Every 62,500 miles/4 years
Replace spark plugs

You can count on the following at an MB dealer:
Transmission oil: $350 to $450
Oil change: $130
Air filter: $100 to $140
cabin filter: $70
Spark Plugs if needed: $90 for parts and ?? for labor(call your dealer and ask for # of labor hours x $130)
