Motor Trend comparison test (June 2003) clocked a CL55AMG at 4.27 seconds 0-60MPH / 12.38 second quarter mile @ 114 MPH. A 575M Maranello in the same test group was only 0.07 (seven hundredths) of a second faster to 60 MPH!(4.16). The CL top speed was 187 MPH Vs. 182 for the Ferrari!

Can a stock CL 600 be quicker than this? The Renntech boost kit for the biturbo would probably overcome the weight disadvantage...but all that torque...

Go for the "standard" AMG Mercedes CL65.....

It has a specially reinforced transmission to withstand its 612hp. Although torque still had to be limited to 1000Nm (unfortunately I only know the metric numbers ;-)).
That car is guaranteed to blow the competition to kingdom come and still last a bit longer than 10,000 miles before its engine goes up in smoke.
