I have a 1981 380SL and need to replace the heater hose, coming off of the rear intake manifold, driver's side, that connects to a hard line on the firewall. I need the part number for it. There is a number on it but both my dealer and the Jon at the Classic Center said it is of no use. Neither of them have been able to find the correct part number. Neither of them has a diagram that shows this hose on a 380SL. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Did you look in the EPC? Surprised the Classic Center couldn't find it.
107 831 25 94
It would only apply to the '81 380SL model with ACCII like the '78-'80 models with ACCII.

I picked up 107 831 25 94 today. It's not the same. Jon thought it was that part number. I haven't looked at the EPC yet. I guess now would be the time. The diameter of this is different at each end, so I'm stuck for now.

Would have been nice if you mentioned that. Is it too big or too small?
That looks like the correct one in the EPC. I don't have anything with ACCII so I have nothing to look at.

I just looked in the EPC. 107 831 25 94 is the correct number. It is the correct shape and has the correct connection to the hard line that runs across the firewall. Even shows the servo and says "up to end of model year 81."

It wouldn't be the first time they grabbed the wrong part on a special order - that's what the orange tag means.

I would tell them to try again.

I just got off the phone with Jon at the Classic Center. He's going to order a hose and compare it to what I have. He agrees that I probably got the wrong hose. I'll know for sure on Monday.

First, I want to appologize, because I made a mistake in my haste. I did get 107 831 25 94 last week and this hose is correct. It is on the passenger side. The hose I need is on the driver's side. Jon thought it was 107 831 15 94 and ordered it. He got it today and says it doesn't match my hose. On the EPC diagram, the hose I need is in the location of #161 , which the EPC says doesn't apply to my car. Jon said that he's at a loss and is going to order all the hoses for the car.

I'm still trying to find this hose. I've been calling and emailing different shops, searching online and I've come up with nothing. I've spent hours trying to find this damn hose. I don't understand why this is so difficult or what I'm doing wrong.

Mystery Solved!

I FINALLY found the correct hose. I was on my way home Saturday and passed an independent Mercedes shop. I decided to stop and ask if they could help. The owned told me to bring him the hose and the VIN to my car. For whatever reason, The EPC says my VIN is not valad. this explains part of my problem. He did some more digging and found that the hose on my car is listed as a 450SL part. He ordered it, I picked it up yesterday and it looks like a match. 107 831 07 94.
