Yes they will interchange. In fact the 560 is a little better seat. Leather was standard. Also pretty easy to remove. Six bolts and a little maneuvering. Instructions can be found in the on line service manual. Model 107

Rowdie, would that be the case with an 84 500sl ? For some reason, I thought the 560sl seats were gen2 and all other models were gen1 seats. Therefore, not interchangeable ?

The tracks and mounting are the same '82? up I think. Unsure about the first year on the mounting. I know my '84 500SL and my '86 560SL are the same. The seat backs and maybe the base are different. Side bolsters on the backs for sure.

Good to know ! Seats are my next project. I'd love to find some 560 seats as an upgrade .

I have a 1983 380SL and a 1986 560SL ... the seats in the 560SL are
considerably more comfortable
