I just purchased the car and I can't get the trunk open. The key doesn't fit.
tks for any help, Karl
Visit your local dealer, show proof of ownership, and provide VIN. He can order keys which should fix your problem (provided your trunk lock has not been changed)

or... it may be that you have only "service key" that operates only for doorlocks and ignition. It will not fit due to key edge difference (earlier keys) or missing groove along the middle of the key
If the head of the key is oval shape than I am right. If it is square than ears is right and God help you if the lock had been replaced.

;-)
Maybe local car thieves can help you?

Regardless of which key he has, the dealer can provide a complete set (advisable) of both oval and square head for his vin#.

And you are right... God help if the lock has been changed. Time to drill!

Well, looks more like the drill. The car has a vin that no dealer can understand. I thougt to spare the lock but I'm also anxious to find out what's in the trunk!
Cheers and thanks for the input. Karl
