On January 27, 1976, the W123 was officially presented as the replacement for the W114/115 /8 models.

Time flies. I bought my first 240D in May 1977. I had little clue at the time that I would drive the car over 280,000 miles. What an automobile that was and it was nothing compared to my next car which was an 84 model Euro 240D.

Thanks for pointing out the anniversary of such a milestone day.

Nice collage of pictures on the link. Who made that?

Makes me want a coupe sedan and wagon, complete set.

Like the Euro License Plates.

You think real old stock license plates are better than new replica's?

White and black or the new ones with the flags?

Like the funky colors in contrast to everyone's silver and black cars.

The painted wheels are sorta artistic.
