48,

Just go to autopartsplace.com. Type in your particulars and then click 300TE. Once there, click "steering". You'll find the hose. Their price is $82.15. Good outfit I've dealt with many times.

Good Luck,

Jayare

Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately the hose offered at that website is not #41 of the pdf attachment.

The graphic doesn't properly represent the length of the hose, it's really long and does not have the pigtail end as the website offers.

Here's a jpeg of the above pdf:

That's the high pressure hose.

Or do you really mean the SLS hose. You should have a tandem pump.
The hose in the PDF looks like the pressure hose for the SLS hydraulic system.

Yeah, ClarkZ71 is right. Item 41 has nothing to do with the power steering -- that hose is for the SLS. It's the one that runs under the front of the engine and then up the pass side of the timing cover. The little bracket in the middle holds the hose directly in front of the timing chain adjuster plug.

Hydraulic Suspension HoseFrom Tandem Pump to Suspension ServiceValve.

I would have posted the part# if I found it.

Take the pic to a local dealer to get the part#

They do have dealers in LA..... right??
Wtf? Your previous post was actually helpful, thanks again.

If I were currently near a dealer it would have been my first stop. With that part number, sourcing a dealer alternative outlet would have been my second.

For future reference the part number is: 1243208753

P/N filed away...
IIRC that hose is pretty salty. I think a forum member had one fail while on a trip and the replacement experience was an unpleasant one. Someone else had theirs repaired by a hydraulic hose shop for a LOT less money. An option that I will definitely look into if/when one of mine fails.

Now that you have a part# you can try & locate one.

However every source I checked is out of stock or doesn't
stock that hose. It will be a special order part. Contact
you nearest dealer by phone, e-mail or fax.

if you're still working on this, i did mine last month, and i have a couple of things to add. First, i did go to a hydraulic shop with the hose in hand. they had a very hard time getting the fittings off, but succeeded, and with high-quality new hose, it cost me $50. The bad part was when i went to put it back on, the somewhat complex end that attaches to the pump didn't seem to fit. it was very confusing, the rigid nature of the new line adding to the problem. eventually i realized that the metal pipe fitting had been bent in th process. I had no choice other than to bend it back. I did this, through much misery, and i got it to mate, but there is a leak. I should have/could have taken it back off, and gone back to the hydraulic shop, but i'm not sure what they could have done about it. so... here's my plan. the fitting on the passenger side should be generic. so should the actual banjo part of the pump end fitting. I'm going to have it redone again, with generic fittings on both ends. this will sacrifice the very stable nature of the attachment, where it bolts right below the pump, but i plan to secure it any way i can. anyway, for what it's worth, i guess in summary, if you go this route, make sure the guys at the shop treat the fittings with kidd gloves. it was a real heartbreaker. also, did you actually find the oem hose? and if so, what was the price? my local dealer was having a hard time figuring it out.
