Hopefully someone can help me...PLEASE. I know the SLS has been talked about a lot here, but I can't seem to find the answer to this question.

I have replaced the Left side (Driver side) accumulator in my 98 300te wagon. No problems (Just Messy). But I can't figure out how to access the nuts for the right side (Passenger) one. I can't seem to find all the screws for one of the panels on the inside. I hate to rip up everything (and break something) to find them. Can someone give me details to what panel(s) and where the screws are, so I can access the right side accumulator nuts. You would think this would be the easy part of the job.

I know other people here have done this job, so maybe one of you could elaborate.

Well first of all you've posted this to the wrong forum. Secondly, there's no such thing as a 98 300TE. Did you mean 88 300TE or 98 E320? Let me know so I can move this to the proper forum.

Good info, but not what I need. I can't seem to get to the right side Acumulator nuts. They are somewhere inside the wagon, but I'm not sure how to get to the panel without breaking or bending something.

Not clear on what nuts you need to access from the inside of vehicle to remove accumulators. As I recall all the fasteners were accessed from under the car, at least on my 92 300TE.

I just used the right combination of extensions and universal sockets.

Hmmm, I did ths over year ago, so I could be wrong. But, Don't these studs go through the subframe and the nuts for them are accessed from the inside of the car? If I'm wrong please flame me!

The nuts that attach to those studs, in your photo, are accessed from under the car on my 92 300TE.

In other words the way the accumulator is oriented in your photo is unside down from its installed position.

Your RIGHT!
Oh my, it's coming back to me now. I could get the nuts off but I could not figure out how to lift out the accumulator, as I think it had to go up through the body. Does that make sense?

Ya, I remember getting the 2 screws by the 2nd row seats but could not find the other 2. Can you give me a hint to where the other 2 are. I was able to get the left side accumulator OK but not the right.
