I'd like your opinions.

WIth the AMG front spoiler or without it. I only have the spoiler and I know it's a GEN1 on a facelift W126 but I like the GEN1 more and I've got some nice (fake) penta's. (8J for the front and 9J for the rear)

For the moment, the car is stock.

Here are the pics without:

And these are 2 pics with the spoiler fitted but the colour fotoshopped on it, also the wheels are painted on it as I have no tires for them

I'd like the spoiler with ears in the colour of the car (199 blauswartz) and the rest in dark grey like the rest of the original skirts and rear bumper.

What do you guy's think? Ugly or not?

Thanks for the replies.

I like it it makes it look sporty... Which do you prefer to have a classy looking car or a sporty? Funny how simple things can drastically change a look.

:thumbsup:Jeremy Clarkson Poster!

The Clarkson poster is also a fotoshop LOL

But I'm a big fan :D

And do I like it classy or sporty... It's not a sportscar and never gooing to be one but it has something don't you think?

On the other side... It's pretty quick in a straight line :D It's no Ferrari but it managed 8.39 seconds from 0 - 100 km/h (0 - 60 mp/h) with someone with me and half a tank of 98ron.

It's your own car so you can do with it what you like... Ok I don't like 20" sparkly spinning wheels, stupid ironing board-like spoilers, etc... but some light modifications?! Why not?

I'll try to keep it in the correct era :p

Personally, I'd stick with the Gen 2 cladding, the Gen 1 front bumper looks a little out of place. That being said, I think that the Pentas go better with the ribbed, Gen 1 cladding.

+2 on Kal... unless you're going to place a Gen 2 spoiler in which it would look very nice:thumbsup:

Definitely without the spoiler I just hate an imcomplete AMG look on a car. And if I was to fit an AMG spoiler on that car it would definitely have to be a period correct genII spoiler. If you like sporty then all that the genII cars need to look sporty is a set of AMG wheels and a lowered suspension no need even for a kit. That's just my opinion.

Not everyone likes it ... But I still do (forgive me :p)

I'll see, it's easy to fit or unfit so if it's realy nasty -> of it goes! And on to ebay :D

I think it looks good, I know that a ton of people would kill for a Gen2 bumper though haha Here is far more rare that a Gen1 AMG skirt. Do you plan on collecting other AMG pieces to complete the look or just hte front?

I'm actually not sure. But if I wanted to do the complete car I'd need a GEN2 kit because I think it won't fit with the other facelift parts. And I don't want to screw up the car, it's far to beautiful for that :)

In America the GEN2 may be a rare thing but here in Belgium thanks to huge taxes the model "W126" is rare.

I pay every year +- 1000 euro's taxes, 1050 euro's ensurance en than I didn't mentioned the fuel prices :p It costs around 1.3 euro for 1 litre 98 ron.

If I'd had a 500 or 560 I'd pay easily 3000 euro on taxes allone!

Most people here driver little diesel engines, a survey said 85% of Belgian cars where diesels... If you hold that in mind, a 3L old Mercedes must be a special thing over here :p

(dear god I hope my Engish is somewhat understandable :p)
