hello

I just have a question regarding my 91 300E. Runs good for the most part, although I do notice that it seems to have that delayed shift from 2nd to 3rd which Ive learned from everyone here that that is typical and due to warm up of the catalytic converter.

A little background on the car it just hit 145K miles, and I bought it nearly 5 years ago and it had 128K when I bought it. This past March it stopped going in reverse and I had an indy shop put in a rebuilt tranny and its been running good for the most part.

My question is should the shop have changed the transmission fluid when it replaced the tranny? It hadn't occurred to me to check but I checked today and it was very low. I have not noticed a leak.

I'm a little confused by it all.

Thanks

Yes if it was rebuilt it would have been drained and cleaned throughout and assembled with a new filter and refilled w/ new fluid. They may not have properly filled it, top it off and ck at least monthly.
