I recently inherited a 1982 300D that I have become quite fond of. It is a great car but it has a bit of cancer. The floors need to be replaced and the rocker panels probably should too. My problem is after talking to the local Mercedes dealer for prices, I nearly had to have my heart restarted when they told me the price. The parts guy was even quite suprised. Actually, I was suprised that I could still get factory body parts on a 26 year old car. Can anyone tell me of a good source of aftermarket sheetmetal parts or a good southern (rust free) bone yard that may have the floor pans and rocker panels. If anyone has a parts car that has good tin I am interested. At least I will know how many pennies I'm going to have to save to make the repair. Thanks for all the info in advance.
