Hello,
I first want to apologize for my bad english.
I'm a french owner of a 300SL W107, year 1986.
I can't find any workshop manual for this model.
I found it for 280, 350, 450,... but not for 300.
Is this engine the same in others mercedes models ?
Thanks for your answers.

Welcome to the board, and your English is just fine. Far better by far than most of our French. The 280, 350 and 450 manuals you speak of are too early to be of much use to you. There were a number of changes that took effect with the 1986 model year. The engines are entirely different. You need a manual that covers the '86 thru '89 model years. This would be for the 300SL and 420SL on the continent. I'd suggest you try the dealer

Hi,

I have a 300SL and this is how I worked out everything:

- US chasis manual that includes the 560sl. The 300sl is 90% like the US models in that respect and in the manual some pictures are from euro models in fact.
- Separate Manual for engine 103.982 (or somthing like that, check yours)
- Now I am i the hunt of a manual for the 722.322 auto transmission manual.

These should serve you right.

Cheers

^^^^^^As above^^^^^^

An 86-89 R107 chassis manual and a Haynes workshop manual for a W124 300E should work fine and cover most things.

They do for me:thumbsup:
