Hi all, my transmission recently was leaking atf and 'slipping' and one day it won't shift at all. The local mechanic changed the atf and filter. He said the fluid was black when he drained it. Now it will shift and won't slip anymore however it'll goto 2500 revs before it'll change. At 100km/hr it's at 3200rpm and won't change into the next gear. It's like it's in the wrong gear or something. Any ideas? should i just replace the transmission from one at the wreckers?

i usualy drive the car around 70 to 80 on the freeway and it never goes about 3500
