I was just wondering if any of the 82 300D's had any sort of traction control on the rear wheels. Probally too old for even posi-traction. I just noticed that on the road the tires never slip and the car handles very well for something that weighs 2 tons, just not on gravel or snow.

Mercedes never had positraction, though they did have limited slip. I have an 1981 limited slip in a later model sel.

It just doesnt have enough torque to break the wheels loose. howerver a w124 diesel if you brake stand it/turbo spool it, it will spin the tires.

Actually sometimes my car W123 will spin the tires if there is some gravel ont he road going from first to second, but my modulator is kinda set for hard shifting.

Austin
