I'm getting ready to finally buy a convertible.

Besides the color coded bumpers, what advantage is there to a 94 or 95 over the 93 300 ce?

Nope. You get the '94 headlight/hood treatment which looks less dated on the car. Seemingly, those '94s and '95s have more value because of it. More important than the year is to simply find a real good one. There's plenty out there, so find a real good one, then worry about the color and year.

Hello, Andrew.

As you now know, there is no difference except the hood and bumper covers between the 300CE and the E320 cabriolets. If you're getting the car to drive it, just buy the best one one you can find.

On the other hand, if you're buying as a collector who plans to drive the car rarely and keep it a long time, you should note that the CE cab was only made for one year, 1993, and only 766 were shipped to the USA, per M-B's data. The 1994 and 1995 E320 Cabs were made by the thousands. Generally the fewer made, the more valuable the car over time.

Hi Andrew, just want to say that the E320 has a modern electronic injection system, the the 300CE has the old k-jet, thats the big difference besides of the hood and headlights. I belive there is less problems with the electronic injection system.

All M104 motors have EFI?

Hello, Mike.

I'm pretty sure the M104 motors in the 300CE Cabriolet and the E320 Cabriolet are identical, right down to the fuel injection system, at least in cars exported to the USA.

So you have EFI in yor 300CE -93? Good for you, mine is also a -93 300CE (M104) but I have the k-jet injection.
