the 300e engine is the same (m103) that is in the 190e 2.6, just bigger displacement. It will fit a 190e2.6 engine bay

That's probably easier than doing the work to your own engine.

I plan on building it myself

I know it fits, I just want an engine with hardly any miles, and pretty much new. I plan on black chroming some parts also, and machining some of my own parts. I have allot of free time.
