Thanks I just wanted to be sure that the A 104 016 01 20 number is correct.

The AMG one starts with HWA. Regular plain Jane start with A.

Yes it lets you order it, but then you'll receive an email cancelling it later. I know some parts they cancelled for me a few days after I ordered and paid.

Ok, I asked my local supplier and he said that you can order it and it's still "green" in MB but theres a note ”no longer available" so he thinked that they are now selling old stock out and then its done for good.

The price is 270€ so its not cheap at all.

So now I have heard that you can really get the OEM gasket for 270€. Also this place (Search by original / genuine spare part number) saying this: "according to our supplier the requested item is available. Delivery time is about 7 business days."
Now I have asked them that is it for sure 3.6 gasket.

What's so confusing? If you're using the AMG part number, it's the 3.6.

Nothing, but you never know when you order from somebody else then MB that they are selling the right part.
So I think it's always better to double check before you order expensive parts.

........that shows you really didn't read this thread, or the post I'm referring to. All the information you wanted to know is contained right here in this thread.

If I were you, I'd read it from post 1 up until now. From there you can learn a lot of things, including on how to identify an AMG spec HG from regular one, to part number, etc.

Had you done that, you wouldn't be asking those questions.

Yes I have read the thread and I have learned a lot and also the right gasket part number.

But if you had read what I wrote then you would know that I have made the inquiries for few different part sellers and I have made few backup questions for them just to be sure that I get the original MB part with the HWA1040160120 number on it.

Thanks for your help and keep safe 😎

None of that is needed, because those sellers wouldn't know about it. If they knew they were holding on to a rare piece of part thats EOL, they will jack up the prices.

Once you get your hands on the HG, it's very easy to figure out if its a regular one or AMG one. Just a look at it is enough to confirm, and then you can immediately return to the seller if it is not the right one.

Hence my comment.

I did this twice at the MB dealer until they got me the right HG.
