Details for the March Northern California SLK Enthusiast meeting on 3/19/05.

Times are approximate to let people join along the way. There are many links below for those that want the info, but don’t let it intimidate you. Just showing up to follow in the group is fine.

Meeting at:
Presidio Officers' Club Parking Lot
50 Moraga Avenue (at Arguello Blvd on the Main Post)
Presidio, San Francisco, CA

Depart Presidio at: 11:30 AM to allow people to see an Aerial Photo Exhibit that will be opening @ 11 and can be viewed free of charge in the club (see footnote).

Depart Presidio at: 11:30 AM - The drive route will start with a beautiful loop around the Presidio for about a half hour. A full drive text narration (PDF file) is at this link:

We will then proceed across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Marin Headlands where we will drive through the hills with breathtaking views. We will target leaving the vista point at the north end of the Golden Gate about 12:15 to start the drive through the Marin Headlands Loop. PDF at:

The drive will have spectacular views and there will be a tour of the Marine Mammal Center from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m.

[;)] FOOTNOTE (Art Exhibit)
This free exhibit features 57 iconic aerial images by famed photographer Robert Cameron. The large-format prints showcase wonders of the natural and man-made world as seen from 1,500 above. Cameron is known internationally through his series of books including Above San Francisco, Above Paris and Above Washington D.C. His latest book is Above Mexico City.

If you are ever out this way, let us know...the drives are usually the third Saturday of the month...[:D][:D][:D]
Three more days...only light shower possibility predicted...maybe not even that...[:D][:D][:D]
Looks like a little possibility of rain showers may add some interest to the ride tomorrow...[:p]
