I am in the process of fixing up a W126 grey market car , it was originally sold in Columbia then imported into Florida. The exact problem is the car has no spark.
I had problems getting a read on what the car was (model etc.). I was checking the VIN through US based web sites and could get no information , I was able to get some info from a Russian Website (www.mbclub.ru/mb/vin) the info 280 SE , Chassis 1260221A118110 , Transmission 722300 02 577703 . Is the information from that Website accurate?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply , the only other thing is teh car has an AMG tag on the right side of the trunk lid . I have had some explanation as to what that means but am still somewhat unclear. if anyone has any furthee info it would be appreciated.

Thanks
Robert
I don't but could get one (it that the tag under the hood near the grill?) , the car is not at my shop yet as I can't get it to run . As I said no spark , I tryed a used ignition module (even though the number was slightly different the guy at the salvage yard said it would work, my module was Bosch 0227 100 023 the one I put in was 0227 100 042) .

Thanks
Robert
