Good Afternoon. My ML270 Auto vibrates on take-off, and when under load. It's also noisy in those circumstances

It's definitely transmission-related, and disappears off-load and cruising.

Can anyone point to what might be wrong, please?. I've had the Auto box fluid changed and the front and rear diffs topped up

Definitely feel it through the Steering Wheel

Thanks

I am having similar issue with my E320 sedan. Have not tuned the car fo about 6 years now but not driven everyday. Before tune up, the car vibrate at stop light but run clean though sluggish. I had the car tuned up, change oil but still vibrate at stop light. Can anyone tell me what could be wrong?

Thanks,

aiyoha

Sounds to me like worn engine mountings, particularly the left hand side one (as you look at the engine)........As you accelerate, the left hand engine mounting compresses under load and the top and bottom inner metal surfaces of the mounting come together......it is this metal to metal contact that transmits noise and vibration through the vehicle.

Best to replace both mountings to cure the problem.
