Well last weekend I tried to change the bulbs on the climate controller.

Unfortunately when I disassembled the climate control panel the little cups behind the knobs just crumbled in my hands.

Anyone have a source for new ones, or a work around fix for this?

It is a dealer thing, but unfortunately you have to buy the entire panel and that is expensive. The junkyard is hardly an option, because most of those cups are broken. Somebody on a Dutch W123 forum made new ones of metal with a lathe.

The cups of the W201 can be bought seperately, but they don't fit on the W123 plastic panel. They might fit on a wooden panel.
