I am considering purchasing a new CLK in the UK and am trying to work out if I should buy the 230 Kompressor version or the 320. I did read one report that stated the 230k was a little harsh on the engine noise .... Anybody able to help me decide?

Overall the performance difference between the two is small enough that the average driver probably won't care. However the 320 is much smoother and quieter than the 230K. My opinion is that the 320 give a much more satisfying drive.

BTW I drive a CLK320.
Re: Re: 230k versus 320

I've test driven both in the UK and agree that the 320 is much smoother. Having said that I opted for the 230 as the price differential is fairly significant, the fuel consumption is lower and the insurance, emission rate and therefore cost of ownership are also lower.

I think the re-sale differential is small also, but as I don't taken delivery of the 230k cab until September this is not high on my list of priorities yet!
