Does anyone know how to test the warm-up regulator (compensator) or the fuel pressure accumulator on a 230GE? My truck used to start fine when cold but occastionally would not start when warm. It would fire for 1 or 2 seconds and then just keep turning over. If I let it sit long enogh it would start. Once it is running, it runs great. The other day I parked it for about an hour and it wouldn't do anything. I had it towed home.

I've check fuel pressure. It appears good. I've checked the cold start injector. It can be made to fire manually with a good spray pattern and no leaks. I manually fired it in the truck started right up. Now I'm really confused. What controls the cold start injector?

By the way, my temperature gauge has never gone very far beyond the cold indication. As long as I've owned it, it has never even come close to reaching the halfway mark. Could this be related?

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
