Finally bought 225/60 R15's. Rolling circumfrance is exactly the same as 205/65 15. Initially, they looked a tad to wide for the rims, but now it's kind of growing on me. Will post pictures as soon as the weather improves.
I have this size Continental Extreme Contact, and they are pretty darn fun. Never can spin them on dry pavement, stop on a dime, but seem to roll a little on hard cornering. I was wondering if this is because they do seem a bit bulging and wide on these stock rims. What do you think?
Actually mine feel great. I used to have the air in at 26 front 27 rear just to get any comfort level in (215-65R15). Now with wider tires, and a smaller sidewall, I got them pumped to 32 front 34 rear and it feels super. I think my old tires were trash and I had 30,000 hard miles on it. Once, I get bored of the speed, I will probably take it back to 26F 27R.

I would like to reinstall it myself and I am not sure about the clip/insertion process.
I see two large silver clips sticking up into the space...
Over the past couple of weeks I've sunk about 7k into my, up-until-recently derelict 300SD. I've been talking about it for years but it would appear I'm now actually restoring my W126.
I'm aware it's financially stupid and don't expect to ever be able to sell it for anything. I originally...
I'm prepping for Dynamat and it looks like the floorpan for the rear of the car may be some material on top of the actual metal floorpan? But it seems much sturdier than the other asphalt crud that's up front. I'm just not sure if I want to be tearing this stuff up to lay down the Dynamat.
