Hello all,

I am condsidering putting 22" rims on my ML 430. Does anyone out there have 22" and how is the ride? I have heard varying opinions on the topic. One rim shop told me that the car will not go above a certain speed on 22". While another shop told me I would be just fine.

if u get low profile tires (35 or something), ride will be harsh...

I am running 22x10's with an H&R Drop/Bilstien Shocks. The tires I'm using is Nitto 555 Extreme 285/35/22 and the ride absolutely SUCKS. 22's arent practical if you drive your car daily, you will hate driving it. I love driving my Grand Cherokee because I feel no bumps on the road.

i have a friend with nissan armada running 22s on 45 profile tires... ride quality is very close to stock...

I've got 22's on 265-35's Perilli scorpions with H&R's and was surprised how well they ride. It rides a bit heavier but makes up by giving better handling.

I'm getting the Mandrus Millenium 22"s with a Toyo 40 tire. I drive the car everyday... Vik I think the 40 series will give me good cushion compared to a 35. I heard the Nitto tires werent that good.

I put 22" on ML55 and on CA roads the ride is harsh. I put those wheels short time after the purchase, co can't really say how much it is the low tires, how much lower ML55 suspension, but the difference in ride between ML320 stock and ML55 on 22 is humongous.
I am wearing out the tires and will get rid of 22 rims. Picture in the profile is somebody wants to make me an offer.
