Recently purchased a 2016 GLC300 and uncovered an issue with the wipers the first time it rained after buying it. The passenger side wiper was going crazy at first, then would barely raise. Driver side was fine. I did some research and found the issue about the nut becoming loose, so I checked that. Sure enough, it was loose. Tightened it up, and things got much better. However, there is still a bit of an issue.
Now, it’s like the wipers are not synced/aligned with each other. Driver side seems to work fine. But the passenger side goes down too far, like off the windshield. When it wipes upward, it doesn’t go far enough to clean off the rain sensor. But I can’t figure out how to adjust it. If I loosen the nuts and attempt to move it, it moves the driver side too. Anyone know how I can adjust them independently of each other? Thanks!

You can't.

If it's a 2016, it should still be under warranty, yes? CPO?

I know it's been a couple of months, but if you haven't solved it, or if someone else encounters this issue, the easiest way to fix this problem would be to remove the wiper arm from the transmission. You would remove the nut that attaches the arm to the transmission and tap on the arm between where the nut goes and where the arm pivots like your wrist with a non-marring hammer or a similar tool, and it should break free. Once this happens, you turn on the ignition, press the button to activate the wipers for one cycle, turn off the ignition and open the driver's door to make sure the power is cut off, then you adjust the loose wiper arm and tighten the nut.
