I have a 2015 ML 250 diesel, with only 30,000 miles. I recently smelled diesel fuel in the cabin so I took it to my dealer to have it checked. They discovered a fuel leak somewhere near the top of the motor which had been leaking diesel fuel all over down the left side of the engine. It had destroyed the left motor mount cover (saturated with fuel and turned to mush) and probably the mount itself as well. The plastic pan under the motor was filled with fuel and the entire bottom the engine was covered. Lucky it did not start on fire! No indication of anything wrong at all except for the fuel smell in the cabin. Has anyone else experienced this, and do you think Mercedes will help out on the repair bill? Vehicle warranty expired last December.

What country?
What engine?
What exactly dealer discovered?
Somebody had to screw up the hoses to get fuel to leak. Lot of potential how to do it.
